Never letting go of her passion for belly dancing, she has continued to perform, teach and study. These pursuits have led her literally around the world to many parts of Europe, Asia, Egypt, and the USA. In 2003, Camille attained a masters degree in history, and she has used her research and study of middle eastern dance, history, culture, and music to enrich her understanding of the traditional art forms from which she is inspired.  Camille composes original music, sings, plays oud and belly dances for her performances.  Her art fuses the ancient with the modern in her musical composition, dance style and presentation. Linda Roberts (USA, Illinois)

Linda’s passion for dance goes back to the early days of Dick Clark on American Bandstand, when she danced in front of the t.v. with her older brothers.  She’s been dancing for fun ever since, but never forgot her childhood dream to dance on stage.  And now it’s really happening!
Formerly the Network Manager for a large school district, Linda made her escape from the IT world and flew into the loving arms of Raksanna’s world of belly dance.  That was five years ago, the first time that belly dance “saved” her life.  The second was more recently, when Linda was diagnosed and treated for breast cancer, and came out the other side happy and more alive than ever.  In addition to the support and love of her family and friends, dance played a major role in getting her through it all.  It kept her focused on something beyond cancer, kept her active, and filled her with joy.   And being surrounded by the sisterhood of dancers has been quite healing and uplifting!  Linda feels very lucky to be learning from Raksanna, a most inspiring teacher and amazing choreographer, and to be dancing with this ensemble of fun, passionate, and lively women!

 Steve | The Chisler (Illinois)

Steve is a Point of Sales Analyst for a Fortune 500 company who was asked to join the Confessions cast partially because of his own inspiring confession:  “When I graduated high school, I was about 275 pounds, and I’ve weighed as much as 321 before turning over a new leaf.  I’m currently in the 220’s and dropping due to a combination of healthy eating and exercising that I plan to continue for the rest of my life.  While I do take care of myself, I’m no saint.  A favorite quote of mine is “Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming ‘Wow! What a Ride!’ (Hunter S. Thompson)

Steve is known for his sharp wit and his annual pilgrimage to Lollapalooza every year.  He is also an avid skier.
